Roundhill Barn is a memorable, quiet rural location suited to celebration, reflection, transformative conversation and a range of creative and artistic purposes.
The courtyard in front of the barn is 320 sq m. For large events the courtyard and a level grassed area above the barn can be covered with marquees.
Internal floor space is 87m², and the courtyard 360m² (see floorplan). Capacity inside the barn is 120 (or more with custom marquees). Flexible seating arrangements can be offered for small boardroom style or awayday meetings, or seated dining for up to 80 guests. Parties of up to 200 have been held with the addition of an external marquee.
It has an uncluttered main open space, domestic kitchen, two toilets, a shower and a “green room” or break-out area. Outside, there is a grassed area for games, picnics or pitching larger marquee. There is a camping area with 12 levelled 5m diameter sites and one 12m diameter site. There’s an outdoor dining table which seats 12 with superb views.

This price includes 20kwh of zero emissions energy from renewables, and underfloor heating when needed. Concessions can be available (eg for community and faith groups, cases of financial hardship or other proven need): contact us.
Guidelines for using Roundhill Barn
- Countryside code applies everywhere
- Dress and plan appropriately for a barn on a working farm
- Take all litter home – #LeaveNoTrace
- No fires or camping unless by prior permission
- Dogs not admitted (except guide dogs)
- No horses or bicycles
Roundhill Barn is off-grid and there are no main utility services. Water is supplied from a private bore-hole. Electric power and underfloor heating are supplied by solar panels (5kW) with a back-up diesel generator providing a 9kVA electricity supply (cost: £15/hour). All rubbish must be taken off site; there is no council collection service.
