The latest route suggested by the British Pilgimage Trust takes you via the magnificent views of Kelston Roundhill to the splendid ceiling of Bath Abbey.
The British Pilgrimage Trust defines what it promotes as a journey on foot to holy/wholesome/special places. Today it published its latest route which is from Keynsham to Bath Abbey.
Keynsham to Bath Abbey – 11 miles. From Keynsham Church there is level walking by the riverside and on the old railway cycle path. From Saltford, you head uphill across farmland to the historic Kelston Roundhill, with stunning views (on a clear day!) across Bristol to Wales. You join the Cotswold Way briefly, which takes you to another panoramic viewpoint at Bath Racecourse. This is followed by a couple of miles of level walking across farmland before you begin the descent into Bath…
Pilgrims are always welcome to pass this way, and faith groups are welcome to enquire about using the space and Roundhill Barn. Please note our guidelines for faith groups visiting Kelston Roundhill.
